Everybody knows the high waist, long eyelashes and red lipstick is back in. But even though you might be a trend follower, think twice about applying red lipstick when it clashes with your skin tone, or wearing high waisted clothing when it doesn't flatter your physique; either having it too curvy, or being too heavy. The trends are set out for you to yes, follow them, but the main idea designers set them out in the public is for you to pick some certain chic and trendy items from the collection and re-invent it, make it your own.
I think the style from the 50's is beautiful. Watching the fashion from the movie 'The Notebook', I couldn't help but watch the clothing in detail and think of buying some items for myself. I think it's unique and chic, but you have to remember, back then, the majority of the people didn't have weight problems, or the health problems we encounter today. Although by now we have alot of cures from the diseases back then, we have no cure for the psychological issues an anorexic or overweight person goes through.
Just remember, think twice before buying a clothing item that although might be "in" won't look good on you. Search your own style, and be the new trendsetter of your school.
