My New Favorite Book Series (That may not be new to some)

Twilight
Twilight

I was recently aked to read the series Twlight by Stephenie Meyer. Three of the four books in the series are written and avalible, with the fourth book set for Fall of '08. A movie is also in its early stages. The first (and best) book in the series so far is Twlight. The second book is New Moon and the third is Eclipse. The fourth one is going to be titled Breaking Dawn. The first book introduces you to a vampire named Edward, who falls in love for a human, Bella. The problem is, he thirsts for her blood. Eventually, they move past that though, and the real trouble starts. Edward believes his presence is nothing but a danger to Bella, even as they fall madly in love. The second book continues with Edward leaving to see if Bella would be happier with a human. Instead, she falls in love (but no where near as deeply as with Edward) with her best friend (and eventual werewolf) Jacob. The third book settles the conflicts mostly for the first two books, and ends with Bella accepting to marry Edward if he'll turn her into a vampire.

I know, I know. When I first heard it described as a "vampire romance novel" I turned away in disgust. I needed a book though, so I tried it, and it's like a drug... it's TOO addicting. I was up until 4 am one night when I had to get up at 6! Trust me, I don't read romance novels, but this isn't really much of one. It's just a really good book series. Hope you enjoy!!!

I know how you feel. This series was recommended to me as well, and though I'd come across it in bookstores, I always skimmed over it, and dreaded reading it when my friend begged me to. I read it, and ever since then, it's been a downward spiral. I'm addicted to the books, and last week, I just re-read the series. I think this series is filling the emptiness that the ending of Harry Potter, left.
