Yes, you read that correctly, the maker of the world's ugliest shoes has come out with another affront to fashion and decency.
While the shoes themselves wouldn't be bad if they were destined for an orthopedic store specializing in footwear for women over 80, we all know that they are not. The shiny Crocs logo snap with the cheap, rubber looking straps are absolutely abominable. I wish I could find something nice to say about them, but I am too busy heaving each time I see the picture.
The worst thing about this is that Crocs are attempting to pervade every facet of society. Previously, we all knew Crocs as the hideous shoes that unfashionable suburban mothers and their tween daugthers wore to go shopping at the mall. With the advent of Crocs 'high heels' these fashion criminals will think these appropriate shoes to wear to the office party, out to eat, or anywhere that requires 'dressier' attire. They become de facto acceptable as more and more women choose to wear them and flaunt their fugly footwear.
High heels are supposed to make women feel special exactly because they are not banal or even practical. They are about a certain coquettish style that every little girl dreams about after seeing Cinderella put on her glass slipper. Would Prince Charming have even cared if she left behind one of these clunkers? I think not.
