Betsey Johnson: Fashion, Accessories, Dresses

Betsey Johnson is a fashion designer best known for her feminine and whimsical designs. Johnson's fashion career started when she entered and won the Mademoiselle Guest Editor Contest. Within a year she was the in-house designer for the Manhattan boutique Paraphernalia. Johnson became part of both the youthquake fashion movement and Andy Warhol's underground scene, along with The Velvet Underground, Edie Sedgwick and Lou Reed. In 1969, she opened a boutique called Betsey Bunki Nini on New York's Upper East Side. Edie Sedgwick was her house model and Johnson designed the clothing Sedgwick wore on her last film, Ciao! Manhattan.

Betsey Johnson- Spring 2009 - Mercedes Benz Fashion Week New York
Decorated with round tables replacing the front row, cupcakes, lolipops and huge balloons -  Betsey Johnson's party runway show is the only time you are allowed to smile during the fashion week. This is one reaction you can't fake watching 66 years old Betsey doing her signature cartwheel show after show, season after season.  After last season's prom dresses, this time Betsey showc... Read More

Multi Leo Heart Bracelet by Betsey Johnson
I have to take the opportunity to gush about some awesome jewelry that I received for my birthday yesterday: the Multi Leo Heart Bracelet  and matching necklace by Betsey Johnson. The pieces are fabulous! The necklace is dainty and incorporates a double chain with pearls, and the bracelet is a bit more funky. Worn together, the pieces will certainly spruce up any outfit. As a  Leo , the ... Read More

Get the Look: Betsey Johnson Spring 2008
The spring '08 Betsey Johnson fashion show was, as usual, a flirtatious, eclectic mix of classic pin-up appeal mixed with funky colors like shocking pink and canary yellow. It was also marked by a distinctive 1950's prom theme, right down to the tuxedo-d dates accompanying select models down the runway and Johnson's "Prom Queen" t-shirt she wore at the end. We chose two looks -- one spec... Read More

Betsey Johnson Funky & Fresh
Betsey Johnson is a fun and bright collection. It is use by many teens and some adults. This designer let her talent be known in the 1960s. I would describe her style as funky and fresh. She is as wild in her fashion as in her runway shows. Betsey is always perky and full of excitement as well as her wonderful designs. Her fashions vary from bags to shoes to dresses to jewe... Read More

Betsey Johnson Runway
Betsey Johnson was the one show I truly expected at the New York Fashion week. The fun, the joy, the cartwheel, the pink… and Betsey delivered! One of the most unique voices in today's fashion world, Betsey Johnson doesn't live by its rules. Latest trends look unimportant when her creative vision just explodes onto the runway. This time Betsey wasn't just a runway queen; she dressed up for a prom ... Read More
