In between editorial shoots in New Orleans and having babies with her rockstar husband Jack White, supermodel Karen Elson has apparently managed to set aside enough time in her already rather busy schedule to open a store. Accepting customers later on this year in Nashville, Elson says her store will play host to all sorts of cool vintage pieces: “I want to sell everything from vintage Kenny Valenti and rare Ossie Clarke to Valentino couture–but also cheaper vintage stuff to attract a wider audience.”
In addition to the Gucci and Moschino throwback gear, there will also be some new and hip designer items lingering on those clothing racks. Maybe even some Anna Sui?
Hopefully, the Tennesseans will embrace Karen’s new shop like their treasured Grand Ole Opry because I imagine the her selection of antique jewelry and 20s night gowns will be nothing short of amazing.
Plus, if you could see an Italian Vogue cover girl everyday wouldn’t you want to stop by and say Hi with your camera phone? And then maybe she could tell you what it was like to work with Andre Leon Talley and Tonne Goodman.
