Looking Fabulous in 2008, While Leaving 2007 behind!!!

A new year is among us and we all hope that this year is way more fierce and glamorous than the last. As we struggle to hold on to our resolutions we've made, we also try to hold on to the fashion fads of last year; but as the old saying goes “out with the old, and in with new”. Fashion is much like your favorite hairstyle, one year it's fabulous and hot and the next it's so not. There are some fashion trends that have to go, some that are mere keepers, and others that we are going to love embracing. 2008 is the year for old Hollywood glamor in the most fabulous way, and leaving the fashion fads of 07 behind definitely will not be a regret, I promise. So let's get it fashionistas, spring fashion is amongst us, it's a new year, and a new year means 365 more reasons to be fierce and fabulous!!! So get excited and let's turn these snow and ice filled sidewalks into runways!!!

Five Fashion Trends To Let Go:

1. High waist skinny jeans(worn by the masses and over done...give these babies a break)

2. Leggings as pants (lots have done it at least once...how can I put it..um..so wrong)

3. Colored jeans (they had there brief moment but please let them go)

4. Red lipstick ( opt for something softer this season like a soft coral color)

5. Flashy bags with overdone adornments (fringes, stones, and jewels..remember classy not too flashy in 08 darlings!!!)

Five Fashion Trends that are Keepers:

1. The It color purple(my new black) and of course yellow

2. Sequin embellished garments (even though it's everywhere now, it will still work...keep it glam)

3. High waist wide leg pants and skirts (still screams chic and glamorous)

4. Snake skin (understated last season...but it is the new neutral)

5. Pockets and more pockets (especially on dresses....so fab, you gotta love it)

Five Fashion Trends to Embrace in 08:

1. Bright Colors (grayish pastels, orange, green, fuchsia...the brighter the better baby)

2. Light denim (but don't get it twisted, dark denim will forever be our friend)

3. Sheer Fabrics and floral prints (seen on every runway by several fabulous designers, these two definitely will be all the rave)

4. Garments inspired by the 60's and 70's ( old Hollywood glamor rocks and is back like it never left)

5. Sandals that are strapped and ready to go ( the more straps the better a.k.a gladiator style)

The wide skirt a.k.a. A line ( back with a vengeance, whether pleated, balloon, tiered, or gathered, a fierce must have for the season)

A new year means new reasons to exude our fabulousity in more ways than one. Although you have to let some things go, keep them in the back of your closet because we all know fashion has a way of repeating itself. Have fashionable fun fashionistas, I mean how could you not, you have a new year to be fierce and fabulous baby.
