Since the first time someone waved a hemp shirt in my direction, I have thought to myself, "cool to switch to an eco fabric but WHY does it have to be poop colored and tailored like a tent?" It probably didn' t but the designers were thinking that the kinds of people who cared about environmental issues were not typically ones to wear corsets and bubble mini dresses.
WRONG.. or at least I' ve been thinking since that fateful hemp-waved-in-my-face day.
Or perhaps they were waiting for bamboo to come around?
Either way, this year I' ve finally started to see Linda Loudermilk, Diane Von Furstenburg, Stella McCartney and some other rambunctions foxy designers take eco to a whole new level of chic... so finally I can find a universal appeal in the cuts that suit my needs and lifestyle. I think the coolest thing I have seen in 2008 is a wickedly visionary and adorably cute panty line out of the UK which makes hemp blend super sexy panties.
It' s called Green Knickers and believe me, if you needed one reason to try eco-glamour for yourself, the upcoming Valentines is perfect.

SO cute.. the ones with the blue bows make me sigh with joy!
AND the most purrfect purveyors of bamboo and recycled cashmere have travelled the red carpet with me and also capture a totally wearable european kind of sexy knit aura... Avita from L.A.

*cutest dress and leg warmers in photo come in at under $250 so it's not outrageously priced either!
