Music recording artist Beyoncé and her mother and business partner Tina Knowles plan to launch a new junior apparel label, Sasha Fierce for Deréon, according to today's Women's Wear Daily. The line comes out just in time for the back to school sales.
The collection, named after and inspired by the singer's alter-ego and third solo album, "I Am... Sasha Fierce," includes a wide selection of sportswear and accessories. The jewelry, shoes, and eyewear stand out against the more subdued clothing including a one-shoulder dress, black bodysuit, faux leather jacket, leggings, and destructed jeans.
The collection, Tina said, is "edgier and trendier and reflects Sasha Fierce's daring and outgoing attitude."
So far, Sasha Fierce has been picked up by department stores including Macy’s and Dillard’s and specialty stores Jimmy Jazz and Against All Odds. The price will range from $25 to $75.
Beyonce said, “the line really exudes a different side of my personality, which I am grateful that I can express.”
