Hot on the heels of New York Fashion Week, a number of talented NYC-based designers also had a chance to show off their designs.
Heather Shimrah Brous is just one of the fashion designers to partner with Showroom New York and iWEARnewyork, a community of fashion industry professionals to raise awareness on the importance to maintain the garmet district in New York City.
The designer debuted her multi-functional, ready-to-wear Spring 2010 Keruvim collection poolside at the GRACE Lounge/Hotel just last week alongside five other local fashion designers.
Keruvim is a fun and youthful sportswear collection which mixes masculine-inspired details with a modern and feminine fit. The neutral colored pieces in this sportswear collection were made to complement any wardrobe and the luxurious fabrics are perfect to wear from day to night. But what makes this line really unique is its versatility.
"Keruvim fills the marketplace void by including items that provide high style and functionality," Brous said.
The 2-in-1 convertible styles feature a jumper that transforms into shorts, a jacket with removable sleeves, and a pouf skirt with a removable component which converts it into mico-mini.
By creating many different looks from just a few pieces, the Keruvim collection really makes the most of your wardrobe. Who doesn't love that?
