Fashion and a good cause came together this week at the Forte Fashion Show in New York City. The show presented by Seam Collective, a team of women who promote the advancement of female fashion designers, showcased the Spring 2010 ready-to-wear collections by four emerging fashion designers including Project Runway's Kenley Collins, Sheila Frank, Seam Collective's Elizabeth Rynish, and Marissa Erskine.
With 50% of ticket sales going towards Gilda's Club New York City, the event was held to benefit the organization that creates a support group for women, men, teens and children with cancer.
The turnout was amazing and I really enjoyed all the fun collections from Kenley Collins' Amelia Earhart-inspired clothes, Sheila Frank's denim colors and chain details, Elizabeth Rynish's mixed paint patterns, to the cool metallics and silhouettes from Marissa Erskine.
