The story of TOMS Shoes began in 2006 with founder Blake Mycoskie's trip to Argentina. There, he discovered a countless number of children in need of shoes. Blake was inspired to create TOMS, which promises with every pair purchased, a pair of new shoes will be given to a child in need. Since then, TOMS Shoes grew into a entire collection of designs for men and women of all ages.
The original unisex canvas shoe has expanded into even more styles comfort and I had the chance to preview the Spring/Summer 2010 collection inspired by seas and traveling lifestyle.
Seersucker, colorful patterns and funky prints show off the nautical influence. The collection made from recycled materials also include new colors including pastel yelllow, light blue, red, denim, and plum in the classic linen style. My favorite of course were the TOMS wedges, which mix style and comfort for women who want a little extra height.
The collections will be available to purchase starting in January.
