Alexander McQueen's Fall 2008 Ready-to-Wear collection was nothing short of stunning. The collection is based on a story that McQueen made up. He was inspired by a 600-year-old elm tree in his garden. The story is about a girl who lives in the tree and comes out of the darkness to meet a prince and become a queen.

The collection starts off dark and dramatic and then transforms into a magical fairytale. The catwalk show "The Girl who Lived in the Tree" is simply stunning.

This fairytale comes to life with beautiful ballerina-like dresses, feathers, lace and tulle.
