We eat organic foods, have greener homes and wear eco-friendly fashion. Eco designers are making an effort to use sustainable materials to create ethical fashion. Sonja den Elzen is one such Toronto based designer. Her eco collection Thieves is a reflection of urban landscape, culture and respect for the environment. She uses sustainable fabrics including soy blends, organic cotton, hemp and hemp blends, bamboo and bamboo blends, tussah silk blends and organic wool and organic wool blends.

In May 2007 Sonja den Elzen teamed up with Dana Takeda and opened the Canadian eco-boutique League of Lovers and Thieves. They sell sustainable, eco-friendly fashions that are sure to appeal to the eco-fashionista in all of us!
