I've been looking forward to Marchesa Spring 2010 presentation since the beginning of this fashion week. I needed a some sort of escape from the recession inspired runway reality, full of neutrals with occasional sequins. I needed an inspiration to write, not to "report" from the shows, something to remind me why I got into fashion in the first place.

Based on my impressions from last season presentation, I knew I will be back on my feet after this visit at the Chelsea Art museum, where Marchesa placed their models on high podiums as they were the most precious pieces of art. In fact, they were. Not only because of their young and fresh faces were enhanced with feathered lashes, their dresses had intricate embroidery, one of a kind cut outs, and their hosiery was hand-painted, but because the entire presentation projected a sense of universal beauty. Something that makes every human being, no matter man or woman, hipster or classic lady to gasp in front of every look.

I'm sure we all will keep gasping in front of TVs watching the next award show red carpet, while our favorite stars living Marchesa Spring 2010 dreams...
