For Spring 2010, Rebecca Taylor focused on ultra feminine chic. Florals ruled the runway on shoes, bags, dresses, skirts, belts, shorts, shirts, etc. There was also a good mix of neutrals, pastels, and bold color. There was a prodominantly gray palette, peach colors, tangerine orange, fuschia, bright blue. Continuing the trend of all the rest of Spring 2010, stripes appeared as well. However, it was the first series of polka dots I have seen so far.
Ruffles were also of course essential, especially as shoulder detailing. One shoulder dresses and tops were definitely a favorite. For Rebecca Taylor it seemed mostly about seperates: silk harem pants, pencil skirts, flowing skirts, short shorts, and flowing blouses (some with fishnet camis thrown in). There was a lot of play mixing and matching...designed for the girl who likes to play with her pieces. Rompers and jumpers took care of the all-in-one outfits.
A few form fitting and some rich colored ruffle dresses were also part of the mix. Pinstripped blazers, vests, pants, and skirts completed the collection. The Rebecca Taylor girl is dressed for all occasions.
