The Cynthia Rowley Spring/Summer 2011 presentation featured the designer’s typical “cool-girl” design.

The collection featured some lavender and orange looks, including a lavender silk blouse and orange A-line skirt with cutout detail (this unique color combo felt refreshing for spring). The models’ accessories -- Lucite barrettes in grey, retro shades and structural necklaces -- enhanced the modern feel of the collection.

While all of the looks were feminine and cool, I did have favorites: those that incorporated the large disk-like embellishments in muted grey, cream, blue, blush and charcoal (between the shape and hues, they reminded me of French macaroons).

To boil the collection down to the consistent threads that ran throughout: circles, silk and pops of color.
