An undoubtable conclusion can be made that the new Lincoln Center epicenter for Mercedes Benz Fashion Week has outweighed advantages in comparison to the Bryant Park location. One fashionable reason why: the food options are too good to be true. For five days, Conde Nast's Bon Appétit magazine has stationed its transient cafe in Avery Fisher Hall. The publication featured the beyond average menu with celebrity chef breakfast pastries and specialty lunch alternatives with delectable recipes from chefs such as Emeril Lagasse, Rick Bayless, and Cat Cora amongst several others. My personal favorite: the steak avocado salad (my taste buds thanked me for that one). Not to mention, this extraordinary eatery offered a chic wine bar in the evening with splendid small plates prepared by Mario Batali Otto and Daniel Boulud's restaurants. I guess it is possible for food to meet fashion. Bon appétit!
