Although the official opening of New York fashion week is tomorrow, many designers used this week to stage presentations and host intimate events to catch some of the editors and buyers who started to arrive to town.

Indeed, trendy Milk studios on the west side of Manhattan were full of gorgeous girls in patent leggings and enormous heels, holding, Miu Miu satchels. While sipping delicious St. German cocktails and enjoying the breathtaking view on the Hudson river, the crow enjoyed the Fall presentation by NYC based designer Geren Ford.

The playful collection proposed soft ruffles mixed with rock-star leather pieces and original prints.

I didn't have a chance to get the promised interview with the designer herself, but I did get a signature silk scarf in a gift bag on my way out.

Therefore the inspiration behind the collection will remain unknown, although I would guess knowing Geren Ford's NYC influence her girl definitely lives Downtown.
