It Supermodels: Adriana Lima and Chanel Iman Speak Out
It Supermodels: Adriana Lima a...

Year two of Fashion's Night Out was out of control in the best way possible. New York City was a mad house, and it could most possibly be named as one of the most successful events...ever. Pedestrian traffic jams infused the city, where designers threw block parties and celebrity involvement was made reachable to the fan. What better way to promote your brand? Out of the overwhelming amount of events, Victoria's Secret Soho store was my choice of attendance. Chanel Iman, Adriana Lima, and Doutzen Kroes signed autographs for a block long line of customers! Here are my exclusive interviews with Chanel Iman and Adriana Lima. They were angels (pun intended). Enjoy!

Lauren: What would you want to say to girls your age to inspire them?

Chanel: Be comfortable. Know what you want to do, and go for it. Don't tell anyone that you can't do it because if you work hard at doing what you believe in, you will acheive that. Have confidence with yourself and strive to be the best at it.

Lauren: How do you feel about Fashion's Night Out?

Chanel: Oh man, I am so excited to be a part of FNO. I think it's an amazing thing. I wish it was a holiday! I think it's really cool that all the stores are open until 11PM. I mean, it makes it fun to shop!

Lauren: How do you enjoy being with Victoria's Secret?

Chanel: It is a pleasure to a part of the company, and I love working with Victoria's Secret. I just love being a part of it all and embracing the moment in everything.

Lauren: So, you just had a baby ten months ago! Tell us about that whole experience. How did it change your life?

Adriana: Having a baby was the most beautiful thing that has ever happened to me. There is an unconditional love that exists, and that's what I feel now and everyday. It's beautiful.

Lauren: What would you want to tell girls to encourage them?

Adriana: For all girls and women in general: I would say always trust your intuitions. We as women always have this expectation to be stronger, so always hear yourself -that is your heart- because only you know what is the best for yourself. Always listen to it. People will come and tell you many different things, but pay attention on you and your heart.

Lauren: What is your favorite part about modeling?

Adriana: My favorite part about modeling is that I am a part of Victoria's Secret. It was always my dream to be working for them. I always appreciated everything they do: their pictures, commercials on TV, their fashion shows...and for me, it was really a big dream come true.

Lauren: How did that change your life? How long did it take you to get there?

Adriana: I have been a part of Victoria's Secret for ten years. Basically, I started working there when I was 17. I have ten years of contract, and it has really changed my career so much because the amount of exposure that they have is really amazing. So after I started working there, I got so many jobs.

Lauren: How do you use your platform to influence other people?

Adriana: I really am myself all the time. Everything I say is not just to say it; everything comes from my heart. Even if I say I like Prada to when I like someone...whatever it is, it comes from my heart. So I think maybe that will be a good example for people.
