The lights went down followed by excited whispers from the crowd, but then went up again after a mere second to allow Eva Longoria, Deborah Messing, Rachel Walsh, Ellen Pompeo and Sigourney Weaver to take their seats at the front row of Michael Kors this morning at the main Tent of Bryant Park. Now the show can begin!
One of the classics of American design, Michael Kors sent 67 divine looks down the runway, accompanied by the tunes of Amy Winehouse Back to Black to set the right mood for the clothes.
All the "It" girls of the runway - Carmen Kass, Agyness Deyn, Tanya Dziahileva , Coco Rocha and Jessica Stam - were in presence, celebrating the polished urbanity of Michael Kors Fall 08 collection.
Delicious colors spotted on the runway included violet, lilac, and olive mixed with the classic shades of camel and nude. The impacable sculptural tailoring contrasted with the textured boucle and tweed, finished with a sleek shoes and structured bags.
It was a dreamy urban New York in the fall, one of my favorite seasons in the city... and one of my favorite collections at this New York Fashion Week...
