Tuleh was a combination of 20’s flapper elegance and modernized elements with an explosion of color that all together created a uniquely artistic collection. Varying shades of cool purples, blues, and reds helped add life and vivacity to clothes that were otherwise traditional in construction.
As in many of the shows this season, prints were big as were waists cinched by skinny belts. Colorful kimono-like robes were also interesting pieces that could easily be worn as a separate for stylish mixing and matching in the spirit of Patricia Field. A white silk ruffled top and brown silk, high-waisted pants were a modern update on the classic Yves Saint Laurent style.
The collection was definitely in keeping with the feminine, sophisticated image of Tuleh. The only reproachable aspect was that it did seem to lack a central theme or general coherence that would string together individually beautiful outfits.
