This morning hundreds of Project Runway fans, casts from all seasons, Bravo execs (including Harvey Weinestein himself), fellow show hosts Padma Lakshmi, Ted Allen, Gail Simmons from Top Chef, Project Runway judges Nina Garcia, Michael Kors, Heidi Klum and a special guest judge Victoria Beckham (aka Posh Spice) came to celebrate the very first runway show of the lucky finalists of Project Runway Season 4.
In the best show finale ever (in my opinion) there was a lot to celebrate!
Read detailed reports about each designer collection and my winner prediction is below (sitting right across the judges panel gave me a pretty good angle to watch their reactions when the looks went down the runway).
The designers presented their vision for Fall Winter 2008, and at the end it was all about the unique vision and cohesiveness. It was great to see some of the Fall 2008 trends we' ve already seen on the runway this week in New York (Jillian Lewis' super modern looks), it makes it easier to understand where the designer fits in the modern fashion landscape. Some tried to stick to their own style avoiding the trends (Chris March' s very theatrical collection) or to what they know best (Rami Kashou' s draped dressed) and some tried to do all of the above (Sweet Pea's blend vision)
It was pretty clear that Christian Siriano was one of the most talented designers on the show, but his fashion week collection presented last was a show stopper. The long ruffled gowns showcased his amazing craftsmanship and were Paris Haute Couture runway worthy.
You heard it here first - Christian Siriano is the next Zac Posen!
