Miuccia Prada found an original way to debute in the movie industry. The Italian famous couturier designed two pieces for the upcoming Japanese anime Appleseed: ex-machina. The upcoming main character Deunan Knute will be dressed in a wardrobe created specially by Prada. The movie, produced by John Woo, is the sequel of the 2004 Appleseed and is set in a future city with main themes such as love, friendship and confloict between humans and clones. This collaboration highlights the cross-banding initiative that is becoming very popular as various brands try to reach wider audiences. Theatrical release in Japan is October 20th, 2007 and the film will be distributed internationally by Warner Bros about 90 other countries
