If you are the type of person with a lot of July 4th holiday spirit-and want to show it by dressing up for your July 4th celebration, but are not sure how? Here are some simple 4th of July ideas that are easy to put together and allow you to show some holiday spirit in style: 

       1- Stripes are a great way to show some holiday spirit and still look stylish. Luckily, stripes are definitely in this season. So, I would recommend you wear a striped dress in blue in white or black and white. But remember, like all prints, the contrast of black and white is extreme; therefore you want to downplay your make-up to soften up the whole look.

       2- Wear a solid red, blue or white dress and spice it up with some accessories and makeup. You don’t have to wear all the colors of the flag to play off the theme of Independence Day. Pair your dress with some colorful jewelry, belts ,and shoes and you should just be fine.

      3-Layers are a great way to play off the theme of July 4th and possibly get all the colors incorporated into your look.  For example: wear a short blue skirt, a loose white shirt, and a red tank underneath. Most importantly, don’t forget about jeans which and can be mixed and matched with anything.

       4- Sequin dresses are perfect for July 4th parties. Wearing a sequin dress, shirt or skirt is perfect for your celebration because it plays off the whole fireworks theme and still looks stylish. Sequins are everywhere now, so sequined accessories and cloths should not be hard to find and definitely add to the holiday spirit.

      5-Shimmer make-up can definitely allow you to show holiday spirit even if your outfit doesn’t.  I know M-A-C makes great shimmer for your eyes, and great glossy gloss for your lips. If you are just not in the mood to dress in the colors, play with your makeup. Eye-liners come in all different colors, and maybe a red lipstick, and soft white shadow. To add to the shimmer “fireworks” theme you can even wear some shimmer lotion on your body to glow in the dark or you  can even step it up by getting a manicure or pedicure in red, or even French manicure.

         Just remember you don’t have to wear red, white and blue in one outfit to look like you have July 4th  holiday spirit. If you want to show some July 4th spirit and still look stylish, use some of the tips above. When wearing a solid, pay attention to your accessories and your make-up. When wearing a print, pay attention to softening your make-up.
