The Return of The Supermodels

Sure really have they ever left us Cindy, Nikki, Claudia, Naomi, Linda, Stephanie, and especially Kate (who is slowly starting to lose her major campaines to newcomer Agnyess Dean (apologixe for the misspelling) but I have ssn the old guard slowly making a comeback maybe if they are not altogether at one time again.

Claudia is looking amazing in the new Chanel ads, Linda is still ever the chamelion that we know and love, Cindy is popping up all over the place, Naomi is in trouble with British Airwaves and Nikki is doing reality t.v (which I have grown to love when normal, everyday people are given a chance to live there dreams of success).

When is someone going to create a competion for the best nesw brand?  (anyone out there listening Hudson Kelly, INC) is here waiting for its chance.

Anyway I also am a big fan of the new Lord and Taylor (from old to new as I call it campaign.  In which you have Lauren Hutton (old guard) and Liya Kibede (somewhere in the middle) with some new faces I don't really know as of yet but the photo is stunning because I love natural beauty.

I have talked about this many times, blooged on it millions times over but I am taken aback with these magazines who are not using models anymore.  (But I love my Li-Lo covers).  Beyonce will still sell records even without her Loreal campaign,

The Queen is to mature for CoverGirl...where is Tyra's models when you need them?

Actors have enough outlets to showoff there talents, tell there secrets and please can someone put Kylie Minouge on the cover of American Vogue (if we are into celebrity loving)?

Madison Ave has changed the world and now they don't seem to know where to go from here?

Branding is importan even for the models as when if they are through with the catwalk they can go on to bigger and better.  I miss the days of Shalom and Amber (the last of the 90's supermodel revolution) together on every magazine.

And speaking of color where is the next great african american cover girl or have the Brazillians really taken over (I love you Giselle, Adrianna and others).  It's just me venting yet again.
