Spring-Friendly Felted Scarves?

Fullenstar Scarf
Fullenstar Scarf

First of all, what is a felted scarf? Felting comes about from many methods, and almost always involves 100% wool. The particular brand of felting Etsy artisan, Fullenstar, uses is called "nuno felting" and it is the most unique in practice and result. In nuno felting, a very thin layer of wool is adhered to a very thin layer of fabric, like the hand-dyed silk chiffons Fullenstar uses.

In many forms of felting, designs/colors of wool are mixed together and made permanent, with a unique and artistic look to fashion or even objects.

Fullenstars' current scarves are gorgeous, stylish, soo luxe and not only appeal to the aesthetics of the Spring mood, but drape wonderfully, are super soft, very light and just warm enough. These are not summer scarves, but they'll do well in any neutral chill, like nights or early to mid Spring.

Make sure you check her out again for the Fall, as well!

You'll find Fullenstar at Etsy.com and her scarves run in the $35 to $50 range.

Hmm..... well, its a good thing it's not thick and stiff. That would be like carrying a dead animal around your neck... almost literally! But it sounds like if people don't take it to the dry cleaners, they might mess up the fabric. I wouldn't suggest putting those in the dryer! It looks like it has the potential of looking REALLY ugly if not taken care of properly.
