Renee Zellweger Prom Lookalike?

Renee Zellweger Prom Lookalike?
Renee Zellweger Prom Lookalike...

A white Renee Zellweger it might not be, but my daughter's prom dress is still to die for! Could she pass for a lookalike? - at a distance? - without reading glasses? Oh well, I still think she picked out the best dress - but then I would say that wouldn't I?

The crystal-sequinned little white number comes from Red Herring - and the daughter in question was torn between the white or the black. Which would you have gone for?

I loved the white and in the end that was what she plumped for, as you can see. I have to say the shop image doesn't do the dress justice - just goes to show the importance of trying garments on. I think it looks better on her - more lively!

I think she made the right decision to go for the cutest. Black is great for sophisticates, or for those who sometimes need to grab a quick 'elegant and can't go wrong with that' look.'

But for prom age youngsters, white has an aura of youth and beauty. There will be plenty of occasions later in life, such as office hospitality parties, for darker shades of elegance.  These sweet sixteen prom days fly past like a dream - so why not a dreamily fashioned dress to make the most of delightful diva days?

We hope she made the right decision - she chose some white four inch heels to match, and is now working on ideas for chilly shoulders. We're deliberating on delectable colorways for wraps, shawls or little bolero jackets. Teal, oyster and white are all 'in the running.' White is difficult - supposing the two whites are not identical?

Better to go for silver? I enquired. This would highlight the little sequinned mirrors and silver threads. Now for the jewelry ....... it can't really be anything else other than silver!

Ah, I hope she had a magical night. Such a mother! Good job. I had a last minute almost literlally, and my Mom made me a cream off white gown: imagine I think she had a 48 hour notice. She was so happy that I was going to the prom...thanks, I had forgotten how wonderful she was then. Your daughter will be glad for your help too. Mary....hey will you come visit?
