I heard all about it, i saw the amazing reviews from the different festivals around the world but i haven't seen this movie yet.
The world premiere will take place on Wednesday, November 7th, at the UN (!) but there is no chance i could get in.
BUT on Friday, November 9th, I'm going to see the public premiere of Holly with VIP access and all.
I love Ron Livingston (i admire "office space" movie), the trailer looks promising and the story raises the awareness of trafficking and the sex slavery in Cambodia and in the world.
The movie is about "Patrick (Ron Livingston), an American card shark and dealer of stolen artifacts, who has been ‘comfortably numb’ in Cambodia for years, when he encounters Holly (Thuy Nguyen), a 12-year-old Vietnamese girl, in the K11 red light village. The girl has been sold by her impoverished family and smuggled across the border to work as a prostitute.
Patrick embarks on a frantic search through both the beautiful and sordid faces of the country, in an attempt to bring her to safety."
