Two brilliant three-dimensional chess playing, tech talking, super nerd young physics professors and their best friends meet the new neighbor- a hot chick named Penny. Sheldon, a nerd whose lifestyle is defined by his quirky phobias and OCD, and his roommate Leonard have thrillingly antagonistic chemistry. The tension between Sheldon's routine and the way the hot girl next door has turned their life upside down, combined with their socially awkward banter had me laughing out loud before the first commercial break.

The show revolves on stereotypes but shows the complexity of the people behind them. Sweet, refreshingly naive, and oh so quirky- I find myself wishing I could transform my average keep-to-themselves neighbors into a floor as crazy and enjoyable as this one.    

The season started in late September of '07, but was cut short by the screenwriters strike. Now the whole gang is back to calculating probabilities and working around neurosis for the completion of the season.
