Birth of the Riedel Black Tie

Black Tie
Black Tie

Riedel, a name known internationally as THE wine glass company for true connoisseurs, has introduced a new line to its elite Sommeliers collection: the Black Tie glass.

While most wine glasses look the same to us casual/occasional consumers, the new Black Tie glass is refreshingly and identifiably different.

The stem of a Black Tie glass for a red wine is black- giving a full glass of red wine the impression of having a hollow wine-filled stem.

While the red wine glasses steal the show, the base of the white wine glasses are black, and the stemless glasses have a black pearl at the bottom to tie it all together.

Chic, delicate, unique, and hand-blown, these glasses fetch between $100 and $140 in the Riedel shop. Its a beautiful collection.

Way beyond my price point, but beautiful all the same. I love the concept of the red wine glass looking full down through the stem. and I love how it's all tied together so elegantly.
