Victrola 35 circa 1924

1924 Victrola!
1924 Victrola!

The Victrola 35 was one of the smallest phonographs produced by the Victor Talking Machine Co. It was only available for one year: 1924! It featured a wholly unique method of sound amplification by reflecting the sounds from a polished aluminum bowl, installed within the cabinet (as opposed to the outer, upper cone shaped horn). Sort of an internal horn, or, an early in-cabinet design if you will. We found one at this tiny shop in Murphy's, CA.
