American Gangster

Based on a true story, Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe, once again, exhibit their ability to capture a personality. It's hard for me to visualize Denzel as the "bad guy" but he certainly pulls it off. Russell's portrayal of Richie Roberts, a 'hyper' good guy, outcast cop takes him far from his normal "hero" role. The movie is long, 157 minutes. And sometimes truth is stranger than fiction.
