Alan Alda is 71 years young. He and his wife, Arlene, have three daughters: Eve, Elizabeth, and Beatrice. They have seven grandchildren.
Alda is the only regular to appear as 'Hawkeye Pierce' in all 251 episodes of M*A*S*H.
His movies include: Paper Lion, Kill Me If You Can, California Suite, Sweet Liberty, Betsy's Wedding, The Aviator, and my all-time favorite: Same Time, Next Year.
Alan experienced polio as a child and I suspect that may have added to his sensitivity.
He's written two books: 'Never Have Your Dog Stuffed' and "Things I Overheard While Talking to Myself'
