The Internet Movie Database says of There will be Blood:

A story about family, greed, religion, and oil, centered around a turn-of-the-century prospector in the early days of the business.

This was a surprising movie.  I thought it was going to be a Western.  It was....and so much more.

I thought there would be fighting and violence.  There was, but not the kind I expected.

I didn' t think it would have a message.  It did.

I was surprised by the role of religion. It was hard to tell the good guys from the bad guys.

Excellent acting.  See it!
