There's no greater disappointment that receiving a new high-tech gadget for the holidays only to drop it during the first few days of use and (gasp) mar the surface of this new, expensive toy.
With style, utility and protection in mind, Research in Motion and Winkreative collaborated to curate a collection of BlackBerry PlayBook bespoke cases, so that when you chuck your PlayBook into the bottom of your carry-all it won't get damaged.
To introduce all of its new accessories, BlackBerry recently hosted the "Made for BlackBerry PlayBook Luxury Accessories Collection" event in New York City.
The event introduced all seven collections of leather cases, which were specially designed for the BlackBerry PlayBook. Designs hail from various international leather accessories retailers, such as Belgian leather goods company Delvaux, and London-based luxury leather accessories company Ettinger. Ettinger created a chic, leather BlackBerry PlayBook cover offered in a poppy red and slate. Also expect to see collections from Brooklyn, Valextra, WANT Les Essentiels de la Vie, Porter and Ganzo.
My personal favorite: the WANT Les Essentiels de la Vie Bishop BlackBerry case in Burnt Henna ($265). This zip case has room for your PlayBook and a full wallet inside, perfect for the overly-organized or those with organization as their resolution in 2012.
All collections of BlackBerry PlayBook accessories can be purchased through the individual retailer's site, but for more information about the BlackBerry PlayBook and where to purchase, visit: http://us.blackberry.com/smartphones/accessories/playbook/.
