Fall 2008 threw us a fashion curve ball by naming the graceful version of leggings, "tights", the latest fashion trend.  Tights have been charmingly popping up all over the runway. Designers like Anna Suie, Chanel, and Oscar De La Renta have all integrated the look into their shows.  The trick to pulling off this look, and stepping out of the comfort zone of black opaque tights, is to be sure your tights add balance your ensemble. Once you figure out precisely what works for you...pulling together some courageous looks, including plaids and flowered motifs, become easier than you think. Here's how!

Be Matchy

Sometimes its okay to be matchy! It’s essentially one of the best ways to pull off opaque colored tights.  The looks below integrate the "matchy" feeling by focusing on some key points. . The first way to pull off the "matchy" look is to bear in mind that less is more, sometimes no jewelry says more; however other accessories are key, including gloves and solid stilettos.  Also, don't be afraid to add another shade.... but be subtle because two colors can chop up your figure. Try adding a different color glove or shoe; notice the model below in the blue has on a black shoe but it seamlessly flows with the outfit....
