Fine hair can be difficult to style and frustrating to manage. Adding too much product will simply weigh it down even more but the best thing to do, is embrace what you have been blessed with, and enhance what you haven' t.

If you are concerned about flyaway hair, then I would recommend spraying your hands with some hairspray, and running your hands over, or through your hair. You only need a little bit, serums, waxes and creams are often too heavy for fine hair.

When you wash your hair, be careful not to have the water too hot, or to scrub too hard. These can cause the scalp to produce excess oils which tend to be more noticeable with thinner hair.

To get some volume at the root you will need a round brush. Blowdry as you lift the hair at the root with the brush. Alternatively, use a vented brush and dry hair upside down.

Adding layers to fine hair can create shape and the appearance of thickness. Always ask the advice of your hairdresser though, as layers are not right for everyone.

Products with citrus such as lemon, orange and grapefruit tend to be good for fine or oily hair. I love the MOP range, try their lemongrass shampoo and conditioner designed for fine hair. The products are organic and leave hair feeling super clean, soft and shiny.

My hair isn't super fine, but fine enough. Those are great tips. The hairspraying, blowdrying upside down, and layering really works for me.
