Have you ever seen a Tamari? Do you know what it is?

Tamri is an ancient Japanese and Chinese folk art of the upper class and aristocrats. The balls were created from deconstructed kimonos by wrapping the threads around and around a core.  Then geometric designs were embroidered onto the ball. Bells or other items were sometimes added to the center so that they would make little chiming noises as they were handled.

Julieandco makes beautiful Temari. She makes Temari for your home and with the holiday season coming up it would be lovely to decorate a tree or mantel.
