Who knew a real botanical sanctuary could exist in Midtown Manhattan? The moment I stepped into Phyto Universe I was transformed into a tropical world. Later, my hair was transformed as well, into something shiny and sleek.
One of two Phyto Universe salons in the world—the other in Paris—the space boasts a 3,000 square foot vertical garden containing 9,000 live tropical plants, a physical reminder of Alès and Phyto's commitment to only use the powerful ingredients found in nature.
This is exactly what drove me to jump on the offer to experience a hair treatment, courtesy of Phyto. The organic junkie in me loves the idea of natural ingredients, and the nerd in me loves the scientific approach. My hair appointment started with a scalp analysys, which included a close look into my scalp and hair roots (by "close" I mean magnified times thousand).
My technician, Marina, was very knowledgeable about my type of hair (we happen to share the same frizzy/curly hair) and she gave it exactly what it needed - a real repair, which included Phytosesame (express hydrating conditioner), Phytonectar oil (pre-shampoo treatment), Phytopolleine (universal elixir stimulating scalp) and finished off with Phytodefrisant (botanical relaxing balm) for something that looked like one of the best blow outs my hair had ever seen.
If you feel like it's been a while you gave your hair a healthy gift instead of the regular color & cut - Phyto Universe is the "it" place to visit!
