It Gifts: $25K Valentine’s Day Curated by Kitchit.
It Gifts: $25K Valentine’s Day...

Before you jump on judging people who spend $25K on one Valentine's day treat, let's fantasize for a moment, and perhaps get inspired...Even though the Vday is all about love, sometimes a nice scenery and activation of all six senses is what makes you to connect to your feelings on a much deeper level.

This Valentine’s Day once-in-a-lifetime experience was curated by Kitchit, which connects the world's best chefs with the most discerning diners for exclusive private events and is offered exclusively on Bloomspot. What's in the itinerary, you may wonder?

On February 14th, you and your prince charming will be chauffeured to an overnight getaway above the rocky shores of Big Sur. The premium experience starts off with round-trip limo service from the Bay Area to a stunning vacation home overlooking Big Sur’s awe-inspiring coast, beautifully decorated with the designs of florist Natalie Bowen. As you savor the crisp salt air, you’ll decide how to ease in to the luxury that awaits. A couple’s massage? A soak in a pair of cliff-side copper tubs? Perhaps an aperitif as you take the wooden stairs down to your private beach?

Those aromas wafting from the open kitchen belong to the tasting menu being artfully prepared by Saison’s Joshua Skenes, who recently claimed the title of Food & Wine’s Best New Chef 2011 (in addition to his two Michelin stars). The wine accompanying the chef’s eight courses has been hand selected by Rajat Parr, the James Bear Award-winning sommelier of the Michael Mina Group, who will pour each glass himself.  The next morning, the culinary indulgence continues with the appearance of chef Lori Baker, of the critically acclaimed restaurant and bakery, Baker & Banker. Her brunch is sure to provide a comforting (but equally memorable) counter-point to the delicacies of dinner.

The rest of the morning is yours to enjoy before your limousine returns you (gently) to reality. So linger by the fire pit overlooking the waves, and savor the fresh-baked memories of good food shared with the best of company.
