Louis Vuitton continues its cinematic series of campaigns, this time with the brand's first digital product: the Louis Vuitton SoundWalk. Rather than promoting the monogram bag as the must-have accessory on your travel journey, Vuitton suggests that you carry an iPod with its SoundWalk tours, the 2.0 version of a City Guide.
After taking an exclusive sneak peek at SoundWalks this afternoon, I must say that they reminded me scenes from Wong Kar Wai's "In the Mood for Love" -- quite a marked difference from typical tour guides!
Narrated by sensual voices of the three greatest icons of Chinese Cinema (Gong Li for Beijing, Joan Chen for Shanghai and Shu Qi for Hong Kong), the Soundwalk takes you on an intimate voyage into the lives of its narrators, who, while sharing their stories, set you on a path to forging your own.
I can't wait for the Moscow edition (should we expect Michail Gorbachev to comeback as the "voice" of the brand this time?) and of course the NYC one (here the choices are wild with everyone from Robert De Niro to SJP)...
Jetsetters will be able to download their MP3 journeys at http://louisvuittonsoundwalk.com starting June 16th.
