First look: Gucci 8-8-2008 Limited Edition Collection
First look: Gucci 8-8-2008 Lim...

Let the Olympics inspired fashion parade begin! Gucci step up their game with all red collection of sporty looking pieces called 8-8-2008.

For those who don't know what 8-8-08 is, it is the commencement of the 2008 Olympic games in Beijing. The date has special significance in Chinese culture as one of good luck and will be used as the release date for this very Limited Edition Gucci line. The line, produced by creative director Frida Giannini, includes eight accessories in exclusive collector grade designs all inspired by the spirit of competitive sports. The eight pieces that are included in this line are two different shoe designs (one tennis shoe and one driver), a bicycle, a watch, a mah jong set, a case and two monogrammed luggage pieces.

I don't know about Beijing, but I can this red bicycle being a great accessory in NYC. I just hope it doesn't cost 10 times the average bike... (I bet it does).
