One amazing thing about NYC is the talented people you meet, and then see them fulfilling their dreams and becoming incredible success stories. Moly Crabapple definitely belongs to that category of my NYC connections. Although when we met couple of year ago she was already an established artist and illustrator, since then she was featured in The New York Times, covered magazines and last week celebrated another success - launching her own T-shirts line collaboration with Dirtee Hollywood.
In lieu of typical models, Crabapple showcased the collection as a cabaret-life-drawing class with ten burlesque stars from her infamous Dr. Sketchy's Anti-Art School. Guests captured the scene on complimentary sketch pads while Crabapple worked at a large canvas illustrating a unique piece for the evening. “I’m so excited to be collaborating with Dirtee Hollywood and infiltrating the fashion world with Victorian wenches,” she said.
The Molly Crabapple Collection by Dirtee Hollywood is a delightful exhibit of Crabapple’s trademark, Victorian style based on her fascination with ambition and artifice. Check it out at http://dirteehollywood.com!
