Unlike other celebs that team up with retailers to design their clothing line, Oprah goes even bigger and offers her own clothes for sale!
To tell you the truth I never considered Oprah a style icon, but I can see her audience going crazy for a chance to own a piece of their idol.
The recently opened store across the street from her tv studio has already attracted international pilgrimages from fans. "The feeling is, Oprah had this on and now I'm wearing it! When you go in there, you feel just great, like you are somebody, like Oprah is touching you," Barbara Jean Hoy, a retired housekeeper from Chicago, told the New York Times last week.
What made her this fan so great? A wardrobe consisting from designer pieces such as orange YSL suit, $500; Prada heels, $250, mixed with more casual basics (Banana Republic trousers, $50).
I guess you could call this new fashion trend "celebrity-vintage".
