French-born, Brooklyn-based designer Sophie Theallet took home the grand prize at the CFDA/VOGUE Fashion Fund dinner in New York City last night. Fashion icon in her own right, Nicole Kidman, presented the award, which includes $200,000 and a year of mentoring.
Cartier sponsored the elegant soirée that was hosted at Skylight Studios with revelers including Carolina Herrera, Anna Wintour, Diane von Furstenberg, and Thom Brown. Gossip Girl star Ed Westwick also joined the party.
Check out vogue.com's exclusive video footage from the evening, including interviews with past Fashion Fund finalists Alexander Wang, Jason Wu, and, of course, Sophie Theallet.
