I love previewing fashion collections in a close look, preferring a showroom visit to any runway show overloaded with crowd. That's why I was excited this week to accept an invitation to Donna Karan's showroom in West Village, next to her Urban Zen store. The showroom itself wasn't less Zen than the store, especially because of the light aesthetics of the collection itself. Off-white handbags and shoes, tunics and casual separates along with some peach and white draped dresses had to be touched to fully appreciate their soft qualities.
