With Michelle Obama entering the White House, it almost feels like designers stand in line to be picked by their new queen. After making a legend of Narcisso Rodriguez red/black dress, there is a serious hope for contemporary American designers to be exposed on a whole new level. And I'm sure during this presidency Michelle will put on a spotlight quite a few.

The next "competition" round will definitely be on January 20th, at the White House Inaugural Ball. While fashionistas around the world are waiting in excitement for a bold statement from the First Lady, best of our designers submit their sketches to compete for the chance to make history.

Will she go for her favorite turquoise similar to this Elie Saab gown from Spring 2009 collection?

Or maybe a deep, already signature red with a new twist on texture like this Pamella Roland's Fall 2008 look?

Perhaps this time she will try metallics with the White House favorite Oscar de la Renta's Spring 2009 runway look?
