Knock offs seems to be dish de jour in the fashion world today, after the controversial episode of The Fashion Show last night, where Johnny dared to create a dress very similar to Lanvin's. I haven't watched the episode yet, but judging by the photos it was a pretty precise version.

I feel there is a certain pleasure people find in recognizing knockoff and calling out the designers created them. While I obviously agree about the ethical part of copying someone else's work, my only question in this case would be - isn't The Fashion Show itself a knock-off of another show we love?...
