Supermodel Naomi Campbell and Hotelier Vikram Chatwal have joined forces to host ‘Mai Mumbai,’ a Fashion For Relief benefit on Saturday, March 28th during Lakme Fashion Week, to raise funds and awareness for Citizens For Justice and Peace, an organisation aiding the victims of the 26/11 Mumbai terrorist attacks.
Fashion For Relief’s ‘Mai Mumbai’ will bring together, on the catwalk, top international and national faces of fashion, Bollywood stars, athletes and prominent social and business leaders, all declaring that “Mumbai is open for business!”
The show will feature glamorous Indian inspired gowns by the world’s most renowned and respected designers and top Indian designers including YSL, Vuitton, Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, Zac Posen, Roberto Cavalli, Isaac Mizrahi, Donna Karan, Ungaro, Matthew Williamson, Naeem Khan, Oscar de la Renta, Carolina Herrera, Vera Wang, Valetin Yudashkin, Anna Sui, Badgley Mischka, Nanette Lepore, Dennis Basso, Diane von Furstenberg and shoes by Manolo Blahnik.
Runway looks will be available for purchase at the event via a silent auction, and online on eBay with proceeds being used directly to support CJP’s initiatives, in tribute to the 26/11 victims.
