Last night the Grammy-winning recording artist and actor Common celebrated the launch of his limited-edition capsule collection of SOFTWEAR by Microsoft. The t-shirt designs, inspired by the 1980s when both Microsoft and hip-hop really came of age, include iconography that depicts shared principles of the technology company and the hip-hop star: including connecting people and creativity to help enable human potential.
Sound like the perfect Holiday present for both geeks and hip hop fans. Two birds at one for Microsoft! It looks like they are on the right path to become the next Target, for the male audience. Wonder if they have other capsules in the works... Any bets?
The SOFTWEAR tees will be available for approximately $32 in late December at specialty retailers nationwide including Union (NYC) Leaders, 1354 (Chicago), Wish (Atlanta), and Major (Washington DC).
